My Plan
We don't overhaul. We layer. One gentle addition each week.
Already doing strength training or pilates?
If you already are doing any kind of strength training or pilates consistently then please continue to do that as you normally would. If you are short on time and don't have time for both the walk and your normal strength/pilates routine, feel free to replace a portion of your morning (or first) walk on those days — but don't replace the 3-3 Momentum Walks when you reach that point (those are crucial for this plan).
How this looks: let's say you do 20 minutes of pilates 3 days a week. On the days you don't have the 3-3 walks, replace 20 minutes of your walking and do your pilates first, then finish with the other portion time of your walk.
The goal here is to not remove any good habits you are already accustomed to — it is to add more specific and intentional movement throughout your day.
Track your normal eating habits while beginning your movement routine. This is NOT the week to suddenly eat perfectly or dramatically reduce calories. We are collecting information.
Consistency beats perfection.
By the end of the challenge, you'll be walking 3 miles a day. Distance is the goal — time is only a reference, because everyone's pace is different.
